Import a YouTube transcript into Airtable
Send a session from Airtable with a YouTube video ID and get its timestamped transcript written back to the record
Version 1
v1 · First release.19 Feb 2026
What it does
A webhook starts it from a session record in Airtable. It sets the import status to Scraping, then runs an Apify actor that fetches the transcript of the YouTube video named in the record's youtube_url_id field.
A code step formats the transcript with a timestamp on each line, in minutes and seconds, or hours for long videos. The result is written to the session_transcript field and the status changes to Imported. If the scrape fails, the status is set to Error. Other workflows in the system, such as clip planning and resource finding, use this transcript.
